Dreamz Premier League (DPL), an under-arm cricket tournament is an opportunity of a lifetime for those who have an inclination towards underarm cricket to demonstrate their skills & gain recognition across India. It is a chance for the upcoming cricketers to face an international standard opposition. Broadcasted live on D Sport for the very first time across the country, in the first edition of DPL, 20 teams will participate with each team consisting of 19 players. A total of 380 players will be participating with the tournament lasting for 18 days, every weekend

Mumbai 12th April 2019: April 12th is International Day for Street Children: a special day recognising the strength and resilience of millions of street children around the world. Celebrated globally since 2012, it is an opportunity to recognise their humanity, dignity and rights in the face of unimaginable hardships. We want to rally governments and individuals worldwide to work together to ensure their rights are protected no matter who they are and where they live. Join us in our quest to recognize the potential in every street child.

To mark the International day for Street Children on 12th April, Save the Children and partners kicked off month long celebrations across 10 Cities today. A special screening of ‘Gully Boy’ was held in collaboration with PVR Cinemas at PVR, Oberoi Mall, Goregaon for street connected children from various parts of Mumbai. Along with this  special screening of ‘Gully Boy’ also held for 800 street connected children across Delhi, Kolkata and Lucknow to mark the occasion.

Zoya Akhtar, prominent filmmaker and screenwriter and director of Gully Boy expressed her happiness over the special screening of the movie for street connected children and said, “As a storyteller, it is gratifying to see how one story on the screen can tell the story of hundreds and thousands of voices waiting to be heard. There may be many more Murad’s and Safeena’s out there, each with a different dream and a different aspiration. I do hope that these street connected children watching the film can find their voice and raise it too.” #TheInvisibles, #IAmSomebody.

The celebrations will also include distribution of nearly 1000 pairs of shoes across all states to street connected children we are working with, donated by Sanspareils Greenlands (SG cricket) – India’s largest and most trusted cricket gear manufacturer. They have also provided complete cricket kits to Team India North who will represent India at the first ever Street Child Cricket World Cup (SCCWC 2019) to be played ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup at Lords, England in May.

As celebrations continue, in Kanpur, a district level cricket match is being held between children in street situation in collaboration with the South Club Cricket Academy on 12th April. The day will also be marked by activities with children in street situation at 30 hotspots in Mumbai, Pune and Nashik, which will include drawings, group discussions, poems and quotes that focus on their basic rights. A conversation on rights of street children between representatives from DCPCR and child advocates, former-street connected children will take place in Delhi.

#TheInvisibles initiative is garnering a lot of support from influencers and opinion leaders and corporates.

They are denied basic rights and entitlements like food and shelter. I congratulate Save the Children and Salaam Balak Trust for their initiative. They are celebrating 12th April as the International Street Children Day. We must all get together and ensure basic rights for children on the streets. Because we must make the invisible children visible. We must ensure that they have an identity, the power to speak up and a future. It is our duty.”

Hails from the land of tea, Assam, Kalyan Baruah is one of the leading guitar player and producer of our Indian music industry. Kalyan Baruah, who has been associated with MTV Unplugged for eight long years reveals, “It is important to retain the originality of the song with the limited acoustic instruments available to you. It’s a mix of coming up with a new intersecting unplugged version and yet keeping the soul and energy of the original song.

Talking about his music journey, Kalyan Baruah says, “I was always inclined towards music, arts and culture as all my family members are into Film and theatre in Assam. I am blessed to have that inclination too… music is something I’m passionate about….” I did complete my studies in Anthropology and studied to get a job in Administrative Service, as being from a middle class assamese family , that’s what the society expected you to do…but soon realized that ..this is not something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. So after a few brief encounter with corporate jobs, I quit and dived full time into music.

 

Sharing about his Bollywood innings, he tells, “When I was in Assam , I started with my own rock bands and also got involved with the budding recording industry of North East…I was one of the pioneering Musicians in Guwahati who actually thought for the first time , that we could live off Music as a career, specially being a studio recording artist…

After 10 years or so, I moved to Mumbai as , naturally , I was looking to expand my musical horizon .I knew few friends like Salim , Toufique in Mumbai. They helped and guided me a lot in my initial days.. Those days of early 90’s, I wasn’t doing  mainstream Bollywood as I was very busy doing advertisement/ albums and live gigs in various clubs in Mumbai…This is the time I worked with albums of KK, Lucky Ali, Silk Route and so many others..

Moving to mainstream Bollywood was a natural progression as everyone from the non film recording industry was looking for a bigger canvas for their music and was slowly being absorbed  into the Film Music genre and contributed their innovative and non traditional musical brilliance to the music of the film industry.

As a producer , I guess I came out of the box in a movie called Kaho Na …where lucky asked me to produce his two songs in the film. Over the last 25 years or so, in the recording industry , I have worked with everyone in the field..like Salim Suleiman, Vishal Shekhar, Mithoon, Pritam, Sachin Jigar, Jeet, Vishal Bhardwaj, to everyone..and every known singers of the country.

And talking of MTV unplugged, this is my eighth season .I have been part of MTV unplugged from the first day, first shoot till today…Its amazing to be with a bunch of talented musicians, singers and to play live with them. These days, it’s a rare opportunity to interact with another musician like that..MTV Unplugged, Coke studio has given the musicians a chance to experience that without thinking of the commercial aspects of it. In these eighth seasons of the MTV Unplugged I have produced..Papon, KK ,Farhan Akhtar, Ayushman Khurana, Ami Mishra, Amit Mishra, Neeti Mohan, Jonita Gandhi, Sidharth Mahadevan, Sachin Jigar, Shahid Mallya, Badshah, Arjun kanaut to name a few…

Early Life:

My name is Rakhi Singh and I am from Bhilai, a city in the district Chhattisgarh. In my childhood I wan an ordinary girl who had a great passion for dance. Also, with my talent in acting, I became an actress in the Chhollywood industry. I am a hardworking woman. Well, it is true that I am not good at speaking English, but my words will heat everyone’s heart out. After I got married in 2003, God blessed me with two children, and today I am a single mother who happily works for the welfare of her family.

  

Career fluctuations:

I started my career with a small debut serial, “Surdas K Lathi” which was telecast on Hindi channel, “Doordarshan.” Later, I also got many offers for video albums for songs, that I pursued. Slowly and slowly I stepped on the ladder of my career. Some of the best acting projects done by me are Kaka, Mayaru Babu, and Nachkarin. I played lead roles in all these films.

Along with these, I worked on various side roles in songs which include “Bhola Aur Shankar,” “Maya K Chhane,” “Raja Bhaiya,” and much more. Last year, I was offered a Bhojpuri film named Nirahuaa Hindustani 3 that scripted me in a negative role. In the future, I am looking forward to working for the Hindi Film Industry- Bollywood.

Miss India World Wide Shree Saini Gets A Rousing Reception In South Africa

Punjab born Miss India Worldwide was given a rousing reception in South Africa where she was invited as chief guest for the Miss India Gauteng Pageant 2019. Shree was treated like a queen and had countless banners placed in SA to welcome her. In the pageant winner was Avathara Avi Buldeo, first Princess Aneshree Buldeo and second Princess Aaliyah Chaboo. Avathara has a passion for Belly dancing as well as Bollywood dancing. Her belly dance journey began at the tender age of 8; with more than 10 years of experience, she was crowned Miss Belly Dance South Africa. She lives by the quote: “Music is the movement of sound to reach the soul for the education of its virtue”- Plato.

  

Sharing her week-long journey experience, Shree said the incomparable people of South Africa welcomed her with countless posters all over. Dharmatma Saran, Neelam Saran, the founder and chairman of Miss India Worldwide and Farook Khan, the director of Miss India South Africa and Preetha Nanhoo having 20 years’ experience as directors of the Pageant were there.

Shree spent time with patients, aged from 2 days to 94 years at the Lenmed Private Hospitals. She shared her life journey and humble work in the Heart Health, Mental Health and Anti Human Trafficking fields with doctors and staff at lunch. She was impressed with their service; some hospital members have served for over 15 years without any pay.

Miss India South Africa, Kiara Rampaul, little sister Rhea and parents flews from Durban to Johannesburg, South Africa besides her Stanford University classmate Chris van der Meulen joined at the Welcome Reception. Farook Khan, director of Miss India SA, honoured Shree with the title of “Warrior Queen”.

Farook Khan has given everything he has back to the community. He has funded many girls’ colleges and positively influenced the lives of thousands. Many people absolutely worship him as he does not seek any credits from anyone. South African newspaper Rising Sun Chatsworth featured Shree’s visit to Trade Mall Route Lenasia. Lakme fashion week is one of the biggest fashion show for which people in the fashion world keep an eye out. It’s a dream come true for any designer to be a part of this show. From A-list designers to Bollywood showcase their trendy designs setting the mood with those ramp appearances. Recently we got to know about that this show is also going to happen in Australia by the name – Lakme Australia Fashion Show. When our team contacted organiser, lady  who is organizing Lakme Australia Fashion Show , we come to know that it is a biggest fraud that this lady is doing in Australia. She is approaching new designers, models and makeup artists by saying that the directors of Lakme Fashion Week will come to Australia to be the part of this show. She is  targeting the boutique owners to showcase their collection in the show charging $ 10,000 which is more then Milan Fashion Week fee. She is also charging the makeup artists and models a big amount of money to be the part of this show as a registration fee which is not authentic as it is always cleared that models have been payed by the designers/Organisers Instead of paying to the organisers to take part in the show.. She is also claming that she has bought five years right  from Lakme team to use the name which is not true as Lakme team clearly said they have not waived any rights in favour of any person. They will take appropriate action in case of any trespass of der intellectual property.

She Promised and promoted the event last year saying Malaika Arora will be coming but she Didn’t Come.  But according to the news of NDTV Malaika canceled her tickets Because Of Non Payment also our source says she also come to know about this fraud Show .When people got to know about her cancelation they asked for their money back she is not even doing the same. She is just using the big names like Lakme brand Which is Associated With Reliance and Malaika Arora for making money. When someone once commented on social media how the show is connected with Lakme Fashion Week one of her associate replied that it has no connection with Lakme Fashion Week and later the comment was deleted. She is also Fooling people by saying Lakme Fashion Week People doesn’t use Lakme products and we are also doing the same just using the name of Lakme.

When people come to know about this fraud they started reaching to the Lakme Fashion Week members but there is no response from the original Lakme Fashion Week members. They are also sending the screenshots of their conversation but still they are getting no response. Now people of Australia really concerned about and confused that whatever this lady is doing is really legal or not ? As she is using the big names such as Lakme and Reliance still there is no action from the legal team. And because of this the people are loosing trust and the authentication of the show is lost.

The lady has also done this show Sydney last year and this year she is doing in Melbourne and according to sources we are also hearing that this Lakme Fashion show is going to happen in Singapore ,  Dubai  and Canada. If no action would be taken aggressively regarding this the Organiser will keep fooling people which is not good for the brand – Lakme Fashion! A strict action needs to be taken soon otherwise Lakme will lose the trust of the people!

फिल्म ‘जिहाद’ को अपनी पहली फिल्म के रूप में चुनने के सवाल पर अल्फिया ने कहा ”मैं सिर्फ एक ग्लैम डॉल का रोल नहीं करना चाहती थी, इसलिए जब मुझे ‘जिहाद’ ऑफर हुई तो न सिर्फ फिल्म की कहानी मुझे अच्छी लगी बल्कि मेरा रोल भी काफी बेहतर था. इसके अलावा यह फिल्म एक बेहतरीन मैसेज भी देती है, इसलिए मैंने इस फिल्म से बॉलीवुड में अपनी शुरुआत की.”

Entering its 4th edition of Rangoli Awards that is about “ A girl Next door with an Extraordinary story”, honoured 70 women, 5 men and 5 kids under its various category of Awards in 2019 who were shortlisted from over 850 entries received from all over.

This year, Rangoli4.0 by UNIMO also joined hands with the #IWD2019 theme #BalanceforBetter to fill in the gender gap with an agenda to commemorate and celebrate gender parity & work towards Women’s Advancement.

   

UNIMO has another largest hyper local chapter named as INMO, Indore Moms which has 28,500 mothers in it.

The Awards,  keeping the essence of Rangoli- the beautiful decor of several colours was categorised as VIBGYOR. Rising Stars, Community bridge builders, Talent Par Excellence, Hustlers, Business Woman, UnSung Heroes and 30 under 50 awards were identified with each colour of VIBGYOR in the same order.

A social cause event believing that women are truly empowered but they need to be celebrated and appreciated and given their due share of recognition, this coveted award show was attended by over 300 plus attendees.  Women were looking gorgeous in the cocktail gowns while the men were seen sporting Tuxedos. This year the families were invited to the event as well.  This event was a true example of celebrating womanhood and supporting moms as the entire event was managed, organised and executed by mothers right from Event management to Videographers, Photographers. The Entire Event was powered by “TATA Sampann”. The Mothers got Goodie Bags filled with TATA Sampann’s products who were the “Title Sponsor” to Rangoli4.0.

This was organised at the Holiday Inn, Mumbai International Airport who were the “Hospitality Partners” to this event, It was a perfect venue to be inspired and motivated as the ladies share their extraordinary stories. The Community is currently headed by Komal Kare Joshi, Snigdha Kare Sharma, Jui Shah, Namrta Sharma, Devisha Shah Jatakia, Poonam Pandit Turakhia & Shobha Pahuja Gajjar as Presidents.

These awardees were truly inspiring as they are an ordinary woman like anyone you see around, but they all had an extraordinary story. For the very first time, keeping the Balance for Better theme, the men who contribute in their own special ways by supporting our strong woman were facilitated under the category of UnSung Heroes. Another first was motivating the kids between the age of 5-15 and supporting them to choose their field and life ahead by recognising their talent in whatever field they excel under Talent Par Excellence category.

A Beautiful Fashion Show was organised by the Moms again, for the moms where the 25 Gorgeous moms sizzled the stage of Holiday Inn in the Grand Ballroom with their confidence and Beauty alike.

The evening witnessed the presence of eminent personalities from different areas. नेशनल अमेरिकन यूनिवर्सिटी कन्वोकेशन नगोल्डन स्टार तीसरा अवार्डस २०१९ में डॉ अभिराम कुलश्रेष्ठ

डांसर और कोरियोग्राफर टेरेंस लुईस और मशहूर सिंगर मोहित चौहान अब डॉक्टर बन गए हैं। जी हां अब आप डॉ मोहित चौहान और डॉ टेरेंस लुईस कह सकते हैं।

दरअसल इन दोनों कलाकारों को मुंबई में ऑनरेरी डॉक्टर की उपाधि दी गई है। मुंबई के अंधेरी में गोल्डन स्टार अवार्डस २०१९ का आयोजन रहेजा क्लासिक क्लब में हुआ। जहां

इन दोनों को डॉक्ट्रेट के सम्मान से नवाजा गया। इस अवॉर्ड फनकशन के आयोजक थे डॉ अभिराम कुलश्रेष्ठ।

इस अवसर पर विशेष अतिथि के रूप में हाजी हैदर आजम, मुंबई भाजपा के वायस प्रेसिडेंट भी मौजूद थे जिनका सम्मान किया गया।

यहां टेरेंस लुईस ने अपनी परफॉर्मेंस से दर्शकों को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया। । कॉमेडियन सुनील पाल को भी गुलदस्ता देकर सम्मानित किया गया। यहां मोहित चौहान भी मौजूद थे। सबसे पहले सुनील पाल को अवार्ड दिया मोहित चौहान और लुईस ने। डॉ ए के गुप्ता को भी इस अवॉर्ड से नवाजा गया। आपको बता दें कि

गोल्डन स्टार अवार्डस की यह तीसरी वर्षगांठ थी। अभिनेत्री रागिनी खन्ना को भी यह अवॉर्ड मिला। नेशनल अमेरिकन यूनिवर्सिटी कन्वोकेशन २०१९ के इस शानदार इवेंट में कई मेहमान मौजूद थे।

आपको बता दें कि टेरेंस सिर्फ एक अच्छे डांसर और कोरियोग्राफर ही नहीं है, बल्कि स्टंट परफॉर्म करने का शौक भी रखते हैं। ‘खतरों के खिलाड़ी’ सीजन 3 में भी वह काफी मजबूत दावेदार बनकर उभरे थे। टेरेंस अब तक ‘डांस इंडिया डांस’ और ‘नच बलिए’ जैसे कई रिएलिटी शोज के जज रह चुके हैं।

डाॅ अभिराम कुलश्रेष्ठ ने इस अवसर पर मीडिया से बात करते हुए कहा कि दरअसल मोहित चौहान और टेरेंस अपने अपने काम में इतने माहिर हैं कि उनका कोई सानी नहीं है। जहां मोहित की आवाज़ में जादू है वहीं टेरेंस का डांस देखकर आप हैरान रह जाते हैं। स्टेज पर उन्होंने “तुझे याद कर लिया है आयत की तरह” गीत पर जो डांस पेश किया, उनकी परफॉर्मेंस देख कर सब हैरान रह गए। उन्हें डॉक्ट्रेट की उपाधि देकर हम सब गौरवान्वित महसूस कर रहे हैं। इस मौके पर मीडिया से बात करते हुए मोहित चौहान और टेरेंस ने डाॅ अभिराम कुलश्रेष्ठ का शुक्रिया अदा किया कि वे अब डॉक्टर भी बन गए हैं। मोहित ने यहां यह भी कहा कि उन्होंने गायकी या संगीत को किसी स्कूल में नहीं सीखा बल्कि अपने सीनियर्स को सुनकर अच्छा संगीत सुनकर ऑब्जर्व करके गायकी की बारीकी को समझा सीखा और यह मुकाम हासिल किया।

22nd March 2019, London, UK – British Asian entrepreneurs and wealth creators were celebrated and honoured tonight at the annual Asian Business Awards at London’s Westminster Park Plaza. Mr. Srinivasan Narayanan Joins Sg. SAIFF As The Festival Director

Mr. Srinivasan Narayanan, former Festival Director of the Mumbai Film Festival (MAMI – Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image) has joined Singapore South Asian International Film Festival (Sg.SAIFF) as their Festival Director. The third edition of Sg.SAIFF will be held from 30th August to 7th September this year at various venues in Singapore.

In a career spanning about four decades, Mr. Narayanan has worked with every aspect of international film festivals and business of film: as festival programmer-director, international film distributor, journalist, producer and administrator.

 

Mr. Narayanan is known in industry for his work at International Film Festival of India (IFFI) where he served as the Deputy Director (Programming) and the film festival organized by MAMI in Mumbai where he served as the Festival Director from 2008 till 2014.

“We are happy to have him on board for Sg.SAIFF. With his experience, he will guide the team and bring value to the Film Festival that is known as an important platform for cinema in South Asia.” Said Mr. Abhayanand Singh, Chairman, Sg.SAIFF.

Producer Chanda Patel is gearing up for Bollywood debut through I’m Not Porn Star: Nazar Sambhal Ke. Allaying fears about the Indian film industry’s future, filmmaker Chanda Patel avers Bollywood is here to stay and the change is the transition of viewers who are now consuming content online.

“Audiences don’t die. They shift. People are consuming content on the net. Bollywood is not going anywhere, but personally I believe piracy should go. With digital coming in, there is a certain amount of realignment that is happening,” said Chanda Patel.

   

She was asked to comment on the future of Bollywood in the age of digital media.

Quizzed on her career and her experiences as a woman in the industry, Chanda said: “We should never believe it’s a man’s world. The moment you think about that, you put yourself back.”

Rashi Mal who was last seen in Helicopter Eela is excited for her web series A.I.S.H.A My Virtual Girlfriend, where she is playing the role of a hacker – Abigail.

Abigail/Abby is a vigilante hacker who helped create and code A.I.SHA.

Her work was much appreciated in the film and she is quite excited about this one too.  “Abigail is a very complex character with a troubled past and the hacking collective, Maya, has become her home and her purpose.  A.I.SHA is a series I was a part of even before Helicopter Eela. It has won 11 awards internationally, is the only series based on artificial intelligence and airs on the biggest TV channel in France  (TF1)  And in Africa too.”, says Rashi So reprising the role was a no brainer for her.

She adds: “I think Abby is me in an alternate universe given that I have a degree in I.T. Engineering. I could’ve been her had the acting bug not bitten me.  You don’t see a lot of female characters like this one.  The part has a lot of layers – she is fierce and smart and wants to fight for what is right.  That is what every artist hopes for when looking for a role. Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya Turns Show Stopper For Victor Robinson’s Collection at BT Fashion Week’19

Well known Fashion Designer, Victor Robinson  displayed his sizzling spring collection during the Bombay Times Fashion Week 2019 at St. Regis. The show was opened by actress Ridhima Pandit and the Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actress, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya graced the occasion as the show stopper.

Talking about his collection, Victor says, “My collection is called hues turely. It has a lot of vibrant colors that looks youthful and eye warming.”

  

Robinson expresses on his association with Ridhima as well as Divyanka, “Riddima is a good friend. I asked her to open my show and she happily agreed to it. I am thankful to her.”

“Divyanka is very important person in my life, she is like a family to me. She helped me to grow. I have no words to thank her. Being so busy in her schedule as she is doing 3 shows back to back, yet she took time for me. I am so greatful that she is always there for me,” adds Victor.

Well, definitely the TV beauties looked prettier and merrier in Victor’s sexy summer collection.

आपको बता दें की तुम जान हो मेरी को विधिवत रूप से मीडिया के समक्ष लॉंच किया गया । गाने की शूटिंग ख़ूबसूरत लोकेशन पर की गई है जिसमें  खुद हीरू थडानी के अलावा मनीषा जैन और राहुल शर्मा   नज़र आ रहे हैं । आपको बता दें की हीरू थडानी एबी सी केमिकल के फ़ाउंडर हैं , जो पिछले 34 साल से देश विदेश में अपना व्यापार संचालित करते हैं ।

उन्होंने बताया की गाने की प्रेरणा श्रोत उनकी स्वर्गीय पत्नी है । गाने की सफलता से  उत्साहित हीरू थडानी जल्द ही अपना दूसरा रोमांटिक सॉन्ग गाने वाले हैं ।
