The young talent has been awarded by Mr. perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan for his script Ishqlogy. Along with Aamir Khan, writer-director Rajkumar Hirani, screenwriters Juhi Chaturvedi and Anjum Rajabali were the part of the jury for the contest. Rajdweep received a price money of rupees 4 lacs.

Ishqlogy is a love story based on the real incidents that took place in several parts across the country. The plot also has an interesting conflict between trust and science. Cinestaan India’s Storytellers contest was organised by Cinestaan Digital Pvt. Ltd and it is the biggest script contest in India till date.

Assam State Award winner Rajdweep’s maiden script was Khel- The Game, an Assamese movie directed by Ashok Kumar Bishoya in 2015. Later, he went onto write for several Assamese theatre groups. He is the only writer from Assam to pen songs for Bollywood films. He has songs from A Death in The Gunj and Jagga Jasoos to his credits.

Rajdweep surely holds a promising career ahead in Bollywood and this is just a beginning!

India’s 49th International Film Festival Of India In Goa

भारत का 49 वां अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म महोत्सव करण जौहर – अक्षय कुमार के साथ उद्घाटन समारोह गोवा में

पणजी का उद्घाटन आईआईएफआई 2018 के प्रतिष्ठित अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म महोत्सव में किया गया था, जो फिल्म थिएटर की बेसब्री से इंतजार कर रहा है।

संघ सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्री कर्नल राज्यवर्धन सिंह राठौड़ और दीपक महोत्सव की उपस्थिति में कई गणमान्य व्यक्तियों के साथ गोवा के राज्यपाल मृदुला सिन्हा का उद्घाटन किया गया। यह आईएफएफआई का 49 वां वर्ष है और कई हस्तियों सहित कई हस्तियों ने इस समारोह की सुंदरता बढ़ाने के लिए समारोह में भाग लिया है।

भारत एक विशाल युवा महोत्सव गुणवत्ता और विशेषज्ञता के दायरे से एक गुणवत्ता सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्री के लिए सबसे अच्छा मंच ने कहा कि केंद्रीय गिरी राज्यवर्धन सिंह राठौड़ है कि प्रदान करता है। अंतरराष्ट्रीय फिल्म निर्माता और भारतीय फिल्म उद्योग और वैश्विक की शुरूआत उन्होंने कहा कि भारतीय सिनेमा जोड़ा बंद करने के लिए अवसर मिलता है।

     

गोवा के गवर्नर मृदुला सिन्हा ने गोवा सरकार की तरफ से आईएफएफआई के सभी लोगों का स्वागत किया। गोवा के लोक मंत्री श्रीमती सुदीन धावलिकर ने अपने भाषण में अंतरराष्ट्रीय फिल्म निर्माताओं को फिल्मों के निर्माण के लिए गोवा आने के लिए आमंत्रित किया।

सूचना एवं प्रसारण सचिव अमित खरे मंत्रालय ने कहा कि स्वागत के अपने भाषण में, मनोरंजन क्षेत्र की वृद्धि दर के क्षेत्र में राजस्व का 27 प्रतिशत और नौकरियों की रचना है। वह 49 वां अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म समारोह का भागीदार देश है, और इस साल झारखंड एक विशेष राज्य बनने वाला है। उन्होंने कहा कि फिल्म महोत्सव के माध्यम से, दुनिया की विभिन्न फिल्मों की अच्छी खबर समाज तक पहुंच गई है। उन्होंने फिल्मों ‘शौचालय-एक प्रेम कथा’ और ‘पद्मैन’ के नामों का नाम लिया।

उद्घाटन समारोह का उद्घाटन फिल्म सुविधा कार्यालय वेब पोर्टल की वेबसाइट कर्नल राज्यवर्धन राठोड ने किया था। एनएफडीसी ने 2014 में इस कार्यालय की शुरुआत की है और भारत में फिल्मांकन के लिए इच्छुक विदेशी फिल्म निर्माताओं के लिए विभिन्न अनुमतियां और सेवाएं आसानी से सुलभ हैं। कार्यालयों फीचर फिल्मों विभिन्न राज्यों है कि इस प्रक्रिया फिल्म निर्माताओं की शूटिंग शुरू किया गया था, सहयोग स्थलम- लिए फ़िल्म बना पाते हैं और फिल्मों, कार्यालय में छूट जानकारी के लिए अनुदान हैं। यह सारी जानकारी पोर्टल पर भी उपलब्ध होगी।

इस उत्सव का उद्घाटन ‘अज्ञात पत्र’ के विश्व प्रीमियर ने किया था। फिल्म की टीम कलाकारों के साथ मौजूद थी।

गायक शिल्पा राव ने विभिन्न भाषाओं में खूबसूरत गाने प्रस्तुत किए। इसके बाद, अदिति देशपांडे की मुंबई की टीम ने फ्लाइट जिम्मास्टिक के एक आकर्षक मूड प्रस्तुत किए।

उसके बाद, फिल्म निर्माता करण जौहर ने राज्यवर्धन राठौर और अभिनेता अक्षय कुमार के साथ अनौपचारिक बातचीत में बातचीत की। तीनों ने सोशल मीडिया, आईएफएफआई, मूवी फील्ड, स्पोर्ट्स फील्ड और फिल्म के विषय पर दिलचस्प शब्दों के विषय पर अपनी राय भी प्रस्तुत की।

एक देश के सर्वोत्तम कला कार्यों को दिखाते हुए फिल्में और देश के योगदान को ‘फोकस देश’ में शामिल किया गया है। इजरायल 49 वें आईएफएफआई में फोकस का देश बना रहेगा। मुंबई के इज़राइली वाणिज्य दूतावास के सहयोग से देश फोकस पैकेज के लिए दस फिल्मों का चयन किया गया है।

आईएफएफआई फिल्मों “कला और संस्कृति और 2018 में उन पर एक जलती हुई प्रकाश की स्थिति में भारत पर राज्य फोकस, इस खंड के लिए पहली बार शामिल किया गया है। फोकस ‘की “राज्य में 49 वें आईएफएफआई झारखंड, झारखंड दिवस के राज्य के रूप में चुना गया है त्योहार के हिस्से के रूप 24 नवंबर को इसकी प्रशंसा भी की। मनोरंजन झारखंड सरकार के रूप में केंद्र झारखंड में शूटिंग करने के लिए रियायतें और सब्सिडी के एक नंबर दिया जाएगा स्थानीय क्षेत्र विकसित करने के लिए विभिन्न योजनाओं को लागू किया है, झारखंड के मुख्यमंत्री रघु दास अवसर पर अपने संदेश में कहा कि कहा। झारखंड पैकेज फिल्मों “एमएस धोनी-द अनटोल्ड स्टोरी ‘,’ बार में मौत ‘,’ रांची डायरी ‘,’ बेगम जान ‘शामिल हैं।

कोलकाता की चर्चित फैशन ब्लॉगर, मॉडल और एक्ट्रेस प्रिया प्रियंवदा अब बंगाल से निकलकर जल्द ही बॉलीवुड में धमाकेदार इंट्री को तैयार हैं। उनकी इंट्री भी बेहद खास होने वाली है, क्योंकि वे बॉलीवुड में ‘बागी’ व ‘बागी 2’ जैसी फिल्में दे चुके टाइगर श्रॉफ के अपोजिट नजर आयेंगी। मालूम हो कि बॉलीवुड में तमाम एक्ट्रेस की चाहत किसी बड़े स्टार के साथ काम करने ही होती है, वहीं प्रिया प्रियंबदा के बुलंद सितारे बुलंद हैं और उन्हें टाइगर श्रॉफ के साथ फिल्म में काम करने का मौका मिला रहा है। 2019 में रिलीज़ होने वाली इस फिल्म के नाम का फिलहाल खुलासा नहीं किया गया है। लेकिन माना जा रहा है कि यह फिल्म प्रिया के करियर को एक नया मोड़ दे सकती है।

   

बता दें कि ‘बागी’ व ‘बागी 2’ जैसी फिल्मों की सफलता के बाद टाइगर श्रॉफ की गिनती अब बॉलीवुड के सफल स्टार्स में की जाती है। जहां देश की तमाम लड़कियां उनकी फिट बॉडी की दीवानी हैं, वहीं लड़के भी उनसे फिटनेस गोल्स हासिल कर रहे हैं। टाइगर श्रॉफ फिलहाल अपनी फिल्म ‘स्टूडेंट ऑफ द ईयर 2’ की शूटिंग में व्यस्त हैं, जिसमें उनके साथ तारा सुतारिया और अनन्या पांडे नज़र आएंगी। इसी क्रम में टाइगर एक और फिल्म कर रहे हैं, जिससे बंगाली बाला प्रिया प्रियंवदा डेब्यू करने वाली हैं।

Dhvani Bhanushali to recreate Shreya Ghoshal’s Leja Leja Re magic

Following the huge success of Dilbar, which she rendered with Neha Kakkar and Ikka Singh and Ishare Tere, which she sang along with Guru Randhawa, Dhvani Bhanushali is all set to release her first solo single that takes you down memory lane. The young singer is said to recreate Shreya Ghoshal’s magic with her rendition of the chartbuster number, Leja Leja Re. Featuring Dhvani, the remake by Tanishk Bagchi has new lyrics by Rashmi Virag. Shot in an exquisite palace in Alwar, Rajasthan, its video is directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. While retaining the beauty of the original track, the makers have given a modern touch to the new version with fresh beats.

   

Having made several pop songs and videos in the past, before foraying into directing films and film songs, the director duo was thinking of exploring the idea of making a pop song again as they ‘really believe the time for a solo artiste is back and the audience wants to listen to new talented singers. “When we heard the recreated version of our own hit song Leja Leja Re by Tanishk in Dhvani’s voice, we were pleasantly surprised and also super impressed. It was as good.. if not better than our own original hit song. And we knew this will be a modern-day young age love track that will travel,” echo Radhika-Vinay.

The director duo add, “We’ve heard Dhvani’s previous work also and she has made this rendition of Leja Leja Resound very special. What was most refreshing was to see this young talented singer so comfortable in front of the camera and that confidence made us decide to direct this song. The original song was shot by us with the music legend Ustad Sultan Khan and the reaction we received at that time was humbling. We had to do justice to that. We have tried to make an amalgamation of old and new with this track, with the talented composer and singer team of Tanishk and Dhvani. And we’re so happy that this track, which is shot as a story of first love, has shaped up as good as our original superhit song.”

Dhvani Bhanushali’s first single ‘Leja Leja Re’ has finally arrived, giving nostalgia a fresh dose of the urban mix. The music video is a remake of the popular song by the same name, voiced by Shreya Ghoshal and Ustad Sultan Khan, now featuring Dhvani in a style like never before.

Owing to its richness, the remake has been extensively shot in Rajasthan capturing the cultural montages of all times. NASM’s Yuva Premier League – Mumbai’s biggest Inter-Collegiate Sports Fest

National Academy of Sports Management (NASM), conducted the Annual Intercollegiate Sports Festival Yuva Premier League (YPL) – conceptualised and managed by students of NASM. This first edition of the sports extravaganza was a huge success. The event was scheduled over a period of two days during 21st & 22nd November 2018, at Poinsur Gymkhana, Mumbai. Over 430 participants from 40 different colleges around Mumbai and Navi Mumbai participated in this event to take home a shiny trophy and a handsome cash award in the five games the institute had to offer, namely, Rink Football, Box Cricket, Kabaddi, Athletics and Volleyball.

The event was inaugurated by three time World champion & two time Asia Champion – Miss Disha Nidre – International Rhythmic Gymnast, Mr Karunakar Shetty, Vice President of Poinsur Gymkhana and the Special Olympics Committee (Bharat, Maharashtra). R.A.Podar, Sydenham, Thakur, R.D.National, Government Law College, Narsee Monjee, Mumbai University , Elphinstone College  are some of the colleges that participated with zeal and enthusiasm.

The students organising committee of YPL said “ It is a great platform for us to organise our very own sports fest!! We got to learn lot the nitty gritties of sports management – planning, organizing, teamwork, problem solving and sportsmanship.”

The award ceremony was facilitated by the presence of Mr Vipul Solanki & Mr Vinit Rughani, Directors, NASM and sponsors Kolicko Enterprises. On behalf of the entire National Academy group, Mr. Solanki expressed his pleasure to see the involvement of teams of various colleges and also applauded the efforts initiated by the students of NASM to organise this event.

M.D.Shah Mahila College Girls team emerged as winners in Kabaddi, Volleybal & Box Cricket. Maniben Nanavati College girls team claimed the winning title in Rink Football .

Joshi Bedekar College, Siddharth College and NSS College boys teams won in Kabbadi, Rink Football & Box Cricket respectively. While Mumbai University Post Graduation were the winners in Volleyball for boys category.

Lots of spectacular memories created, moments captured, emotions felt & in the spirit of sportsmanship the festival ended on a high. NASM YPL team is looking forward to make this platform filled with more sports & opportunities for students of various colleges.

Malad Masti 2018 – Gear Up For Mumbai’s Biggest Road Fiesta

November 27th, 2018, Mumbai: Mumbai’s biggest street festival, Malad Masti is back with its third edition, power-packed with lots of fun and excitement. It’s the time of the year again when the Mindspace back road (1.5km stretch running parallel to the creek) of Malad will be all decked up for unadulterated fun.

This vibrant festival of suburbs is a celebration of art, dance forms, music, games and healthy events attracting a number of art enthusiasts from all across the spectrum. Malad Masti will kick-off on 2nd December 2018 and will go on for all four Sundays of December 9th, 16th and 23rd. The festival will be housed at one venue, back road of Malad. Last night, Kids Fashion Festival Week, one of the happening pageants exclusively for kids and Teens concluded in Bangalore, in its biggest township Bharatiya City. The kids were dressed up in pretty and elegant outfits of brands such as Allen Solly, UCB, Gini and Jony, Scullers Kids, Doodle, pepermint,tinygirl, Bare Kids to name a few from its Fashion partner, Bangalore Central Mall. Kids from the age 5 to 18 were part of the event in Kids and Teen Category. Post coaching by Fitness and Grooming Expert and founder of JV Fitness and Grooming, Jyothsna Venkatesh, kids performed with extraordinary confidence and zeal.

Padman Actress Urmila Mahanta’s Next Is An Assamese Thriller

Her last film Padman has not only created a stir in the society for relevant reasons but also gave the actress the positioning as a brand. Urmila Mahanta, a known face of our Hindi films Manjhi and Akira is gearing up for her next which is an Assamese film based on ULFA terrorist activities.

Talking about the film, Urmila says, “The film is a female oriented based on ULFA terrorist activities and fake encounters during insurgency. It is a journey of a girl named Palki Kashyap who is trying to find out the truth about her father. Its in the thriller space.”

     

“Since I have done films in Assam, my director Monjori Borkotoky approached me for the role and I loved the script. Veteran Bishnu Kharghoria will also play a pivotal role along with me. I am shooting the entire film in Guwahati for next 20-25 days. The film schedule is expected to wrap up by December 16th and the makers are aiming to send it to several film festivals prior to the theatrical release,” she adds.

Recently Urmila won the best actress award at the 7th State Film Award for most talked about film of Assam Bokul. She received the award from eminent directors Prakash Jha and Amol Palekar. For the same film, Urmila also bagged the best actress award at Patna International Film Festival.

छठ पूजा मौके पर बहुजन विकास अघाड़ी द्वारा आयोजित भव्य छठ पूजा कार्यक्रम में भोजपुरी फिल्म ‘लाल इश्क’ के अभिनेता अजय दीक्षित और फिल्म के लेखक-निर्देशक सुरेंद्र मिश्रा को समारोह में सम्मानित किया गया। वहीं, अजय दीक्षित के साथ बेटवा बाहुबली 2 फेम अभिनेत्री नीलू सिंह समारोह में उपस्थित थी। इस मौके पर पहली बार अजय दीक्षित ने छठ गीत गाया और पब्लिक डिमांड पर अपने फिल्‍मों के बहुत सारे डॉयलॉग बोले।

बॉलीवुड में आजकल प्रयोगात्मक फिल्में बन रही हैं जिनमें झूठ का आवरण नहीं है बल्कि सच्चाई को पेश किया जा रहा है ताकि दर्शकों से फिल्म से सीधा जुड़ाव हो सके। डायरेक्टर तारिक खान की इसी सप्ताह रिलीज हुई फिल्म ‘द डार्क साइड ऑफ लाइफः मुंबई सिटी’ एक ऐसी ही कहानी है जो मुंबई जैसे बड़े शहरों में हो रही आत्महत्या की बढती घटनाओं पर आधारित है। फिल्म की खासियत यह है कि इसमें कई कहानियों और किरदारों को बहुत करीने से पिरोया गया है और इस खूबसूरती से पेश किया गया है कि दर्शक इस फिल्म से खुद को जुड़ा हुआ महसूस करें।

Singer Shivangi Sharma Judges International Indian Icon (3III) Reality Show

Talented composer Anurag Saikia had a brilliant run at the movies this year. While he had composed music for films like Karwan, Mulk and Highjack, Anurag is back with an emotional original by Gaana.

Tum aaoge is the sequel to the songs ‘Bas Ek Bar’ and ‘Ajnabee’ of the series starring Amir Ali and Sanjida Sheikh. Composing for this concept, Anurag says  “When I started working with Times, I realised that they respect an artist’s creative space and that helped me explore each of these songs in detail. There was no brief given to me. Composing for this trilogy was an interesting journey for me. And visually my music was beautifully complemented by the chemistry of Amir Ali and Sanjida Sheikh.”

Vidhi Kasliwal of Landmarc Films has directed the documentary for which Tailang has written the voice over.  The documentary chronicles the journey of Vidyasagar ji, his teachings and his contribution to the Jain community and society as a whole.

In order to capture the very essence of Acharya Vidyasagar’s divine life, ‘Vidyoday’ has been skilfully documented with such great technique and precision, that most of the footage of his day to day activities and journey from one place to another, was shot without Vidyasagar Ji knowing that he is being filmed for a documentary. Hence preserving the solemnity and authenticity of a monk and his conduct.

The film also throws light upon the various facets of Jainism as a philosophy, the frugal yet fulfilling lives of Digambara Jain Monks, their main teachings and principles such as respecting the life of all species and ‘ahimsa’ (non-violence).

The documentary was completed over a span of 1000 days with a team that grew to over 80 people, by the post-production and completion stage.

On making a documentary on Acharya Vidyasagar’s life that no one until now has achieved, Vidhi Kasliwal says “When we started out we didn’t realise what kind of impact this film could and would have, but as we went along, I realised that this is an audio-visual equivalent of a book which for posterity records the life and journey of Acharya Shri for all future generations to watch. So the responsibility doubled, tripled. We had to ensure that we were documenting everything accurately. For this, we referred to many monks and scholars and went through several cuts at several stages. Hats off to our editor Puloma Pal to have patiently worked on the various edit versions for over a year.”

On collaborating with writer R D Talang, Vidhi says, “We spent months searching for the perfect writer and we were lucky to have been referred to Mr. Tailang. On watching the rough cut, he instantly connected with the film and I can never forget our first discussion post his viewing. He said to me that the film has reformed him and made him more mindful towards non-violence, so much so that he’d think twice before using mosquito-killing devices! There was no way we were going to find someone more suited to write Vidyoday. Thus began our collaboration. A quick one, but a meaningful one. We finished writing in a record 3 weeks and I’m very pleased to say that Mr. Tailang has beautifully captured the essence of Acharya Shri”.

Tailang adds “It is easy to change the perception and views of people through your writing but rarely does it happen that the writer changes in the process. Well, writing Vidyoday, that is Vidyasagar ji’s life journey has been one such experience for me. It has touched and changed my views and beliefs for the better. I am fortunate and glad that when Vidhi Kasliwal, the director and producer of this striking film asked me to script the voice over, despite being committed to several other assignments, I took it up as I was genuinely impressed by the great saint and his love for Hindi. I hope I have done justice to his journey extraordinaire and his followers find it easy to understand and imbibe the teachings of this most exalted monk through this documentary for generations to come.”

Vidyoday will be screened in selected theatres across India from 23rd November onwards.

2nd Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh at Vigyan Bhawan

New Delhi: The most prestigious and historical hall of Vigyan Bhawan saw the 2nd Edition of Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh where the big wigs of Hindi Film Industry were honored for their untiring contribution to Hindi Cinema.

Almost 110 years of Hindi Cinema we somehow forgot to honor and highlight the contribution of   this most popular cinema of the World at the cental level with National awards exclusively. We at ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry could feel the pain of this need last year,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and Marwah Studios at the second edition of Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh at Vigyan Bhawan.

 

This year an award committee was constituted at ICMEI in association with AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television and announced National Awards in the first go for Film producers Boney Kapoor, Mehul Kumar, Actor- Director Nandita Das, Actor Sanjay Kapoor and Zareen Khan and Film Educator Deepak Marwah who were sharing the prestigious dais of Vigyan Bhawan with Ministers of Government of India.

Hon. Satya Pal Singh Union Minister of State, Ministry of Human Resource Development responsible for Higher Education and Minister of State in the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India and Vijay Sampla Union Minister of State Ministry of Social Justice And Empowerment, Government of India, presented the awards. KAW Questioning the Identity

Kolkata, November 2018:  Our practice as artists are not far away from the lives we lead and the art we admire. Swarup started his questioning early. As a student of fashion, passionate about photography, experiments in imagery came early to him. As a photographer-scenographer-artist-designer, his practice everyday engulfs visual imagery of forms, lines, shapes, and silhouettes on one hand and pursuing their meaning on the other. The body is a reservoir of memories. It is subjected to gaze, to presumption, to judgment, to biases becoming a bed of politics and layers of subtexts. Swarup’s practice as an artist who visualises and actualises images to question the why and wherewithal of this process of subjection that the body undergoes and explore if in some realm of artistic suspension of disbelief the body can be free; free off every trope of identity construction that traditionally dictates what it should be and what it cannot or should not.

Swarup finds it more than a curious and amusing coincidence that all the interrogative questioning words in Bengali start with the letter ‘Kaw’? the first Bengali consonant?

Ki? (What), Key? (Who?), Keno? (Why), Kokhon? (When?), Kothay? (Where?) and  Ki bhabey?(How?).

Swarup weaves in this labyrinth of interrogations about our identities and how we manifest them in our displayed and secret lives; how our identities are constructed and how they gradually dismantle. Swarup Dutta’s solo show KAW is an inquiry into these myths about our identity, who we are and how we become.

Kaw is a series of three bodies of work if viewed in the order in which they have evolved – Khelna-bati, Armour of Weaknesses, and Otherworldly progressing thematically from a space of androgyny to the periphery of struggle, to the eventual evolution of the mutant, ambiguous in both gender and identity. The three bodies of work raise questions about a few dominant ideas. First being ‘play’. This theme becomes a juxtaposition of child-like indulgence, unfettered dalliance to play-acting in a performative sense. His bodies play. With each other, with themselves, with an odd collection of kitchen props which placed out of the usual kitchen context become weapons, sex organs, costumes, and many more things. There is the play of power and there is the play of light. Androgyny is another theme that runs through all the three series. Swarup comments “It would be great if everyone is both male and female”. Swarup’s bodies are androgynous and never sexually obvious, they are various and non-conformist to type, shape, and size. Issues of identity plague us, everyone seems to be trying to save theirs. Which is leading to conflicts worldwide. The artist wants to address these questions of identity and the problems surrounding it, be it sexual, social, political or religious to name a few.

 

Armor of Weaknesses shows the struggle that the bodies undergo to assume other identities, to become other than what they are. The slipping in and out of painfully and expertly crafted bamboo structures almost like slipping in and out of real and assumed realities and identities.

Otherworldlytakes it to the other end of the spectrum where all lines blur and become hazy. What is may not be? It might as well be something else or something in between. The social construct of identities is kept behind to step into a world of phantasmagoria. In discussing fashion’s association with the otherworldly, he further says, “The individual, the outsider, the pioneer, and the mutant: these are the characters who so frequently lead that mutiny.”

KAW also explores the topic of our encounter with nudity in India. We usually stumble before we engage with this volatile pretension. What does nudity mean within the Indian context? Is it always in the context of erotica that nudity may be discussed? What other ways are there? Playfully nude? Seriously nude? Impoverished nude? Can anything be innocently nude? Are we ready to embrace it?  When a Jain monk take his clothes off or a sadhu does the same, why are they any different? Or is it that in all this a subtext of sexual gaze is omnipresent?

KAW is a personal journey questioning who we are. The formats we follow without questioning. And the mythologies we live in. and the mythologies we invent every day. To Survive!!!

KAW: A solo exhibition by Swarup Dutta, Curated by Dr. Paula Sengupta will be hosted at Akar Prakar, Kolkata on 16th Nvember at 6:30  pm to 9:30 pm.

Fauzia Arshi’s Bhaiaji Superhitt set to hit theatres on 23rd November 2018

Highly anticipated Bollywood film ‘Bhaiaji Superhitt’ is going to release on 23rd November 2018. The film features stars like Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, and Ameesha Patel in the lead roles.
Producer of the film, Fauzia Arshi on this occasion said, “I am thankful to all the people who have contributed in making the film despite too many issues and disputes in the past years”.
She added further that nobody looks back at under which circumstances the film was made for the world only watches the film and the audiences only appreciate the story and performances in the movie.

   
Film’s other producer Chirag Dhariwal is set to mark his presence in the industry, and said, “The film is a superhit and our association with Fauzia Arshi has been great. There is no dispute between us as everything is sorted. In her own way Preity Zinta is putting in all her efforts to promote the film and draw the audiences to the cinema halls. Her superb performance and promotion on television shows such as BigBoss, Comedy Circus, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa etc. were fantabulous. She is very exicited about her new avatar in the film.”
Arshad Warsi, Sheyas Talpade and Ameesha Patel have also promoted Bhaiaji Superhitt on various channels and other media platforms.
The film seems to be actually Superhitt by looking at the trailer and the buzz in the market. Producers Fauzia Arshi and Santosh Bhartiya about the film said, “The role of Sunny Deol as Bhaiaji in the film is one of the best roles that he has ever done, he looks stunning”
The producers also appriciated S. Vijiyan the action director from South for choreographing stunning action sequences in the film.
Though its a joint production of Metro Movies and Daily Multimedia Limited, the latter is holding the title of presenters in the film.

फिल्म की निर्माता फौजिया अर्शी ने कहा, “मैं उन सभी लोगों का शुक्रगुजार हूं, जिन्होंने फिल्म के निर्माण में बहुत सारी परेशानियों और समस्याओं के होते हुए फिल्म बनाने में अपना अमूल्य योगदान दिया।“ फौजिया ने कहा, “कोई यह नहीं देखेगा कि किन हालातों में यह फिल्म बनी। लोग सिर्फ यह फिल्म और इसमें कलाकारों की परफॉर्मेंस देखेंगे। फिल्म के अन्य निर्माता चिराग धालीवाल इस फिल्म के साथ इंडस्ट्री में अपनी मौजूदगी दर्ज कराने जा रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा, “जैसा कि फिल्म अपने नाम से ही खुद को सुपरहिट बताती है,  हमें यह पूरा विश्वास है कि फिल्म सुपरहिट होगी। इस फिल्म के निर्माण के साथ फौजिया अर्शी से जुड़ना काफी अच्छा रहा। अब हमारे बीच कोई विवाद नहीं है। हरेक विवाद को सुलझा लिया गया है।

लता मंगेशकर स्टूडियो में संयुक्त विकास पार्टी का एंथम सॉन्ग रेकॉर्ड।

मुम्बई में स्थित लता मंगेशकर स्टूडियो में पिछले दिनों संयुक्त विकास पार्टी का टाइटल गानाअरविंदर सिंह,अक्षय उपाध्याय, अमन सिंह राजपूत,सना खान,अनुराग मौर्या, प्रीति दुबे के आवाज़ में  रिकॉर्ड किया गया। ‘आएगी आएगी संयुक्त विकास पार्टी’ नामक इस एल्बम को कौशल फिल्म्स प्रोडक्शन हॉउस के बैनर तले बनाया गया है।

The Dark Side of Life – Brings Mumbai City At Halt

For the first time in the history of Bollywood, a production house Lakhshya Production held its road show for its upcoming movie ‘The Dark Side Of Life: Mumbai City’. An innovative Promotional exercise, the event was attended by its start cast at Adarsh Nagar Signal, near Oshiwara police station on link road in Andheri West.

“It is an eye opener for Mumbaikars who are so involved with the daily hustle bustle of a metro life that they are unaware of the impending unfortunate events which could occur in our city lives,” said producer Rajesh Pardasani while reminding us of the tragic events surrounding Jia Khan and Pratushya Bannerji.

Director Tariq Khan puts it plainly, “Hopelessness and despair is one such state of mind which creeps deeper into our minds without us realising about such a parasite growing within us which all of a sudden brings one into a situation of being cornered in life which brings rise to suicidal tendencies in a human being. Our film delves into the subject and even if it succeeds in bringing a single soul to normalcy, would be a winning moment for us.” This is relevant in present times even with the recent example of a senior law enforcement officer committing suicide.

The soul-touching songs are rendered by Jubin Nautiyal, Amit Mishra, Mohammed Irfan, Altamash Faridi and Aftab Hashim Sabri. Principal cast of the film includes Mahesh Bhat, K.K Menon and Nikhil Ratnaparkhi who are supported by Avi, Gul Sayed, Deep Raj Rana, Neha Khan and Alisha Seema Khan among others.

“The film deals with such tragic consequences those which could have been avoided with a balanced mind of an individual which is most lacking in our city lifestyle,” mentioned Naghma Khan of Shaaz Media Entertainment and the project designer of this film.

पोस्टर में लटकी लाश देखकर लोग तो क्या पुलिस भी रह गई हैरान!

सोमवार सुबह मुंबई के ओशिवारा पुलिस को एक कॉल ने हिला कर रख दिया। सुबह 7 बजे के आसपास अँधेरी के ओशिवारा स्थित आदर्श नगर सिग्नल पर एक फिल्मी पोस्टर पर एक आदमी का लाश देखकर पूरे इलाके में सनसनी फैल गई। कुछ लोगों ने इसकी जानकारी पुलिस को दिया। जब घटना स्थल पर पुलिस पहुंची तो पता चला कि पोस्टर पर जो आत्म्यहत्या करते दिखा व्यक्ति कोई और नही बल्कि एक पुतला था। पुलिस के जांच में पता चला कि ये एक फ़िल्म का पब्लिसिटी स्टंट था। जिसके चलते स्थानीय लोगों के साथ साथ आने जाने वाले राहगीरों के मन में डर का माहौल बन गया था। पुलिस ने करवाई करते हुए फ़िल्म के पीआरओ नगमा खान को हिरासत में लेकर पूछताछ कर रही हैं। बताया जाता हैं कि लक्ष्य प्रोडक्शन ने अपनी आनेवाली फिल्म द डार्क साइड ऑफ लाइफ _ मुंबई सिटी के लिए अपना रोड शो आयोजित किया। इस कार्यक्रम में आदर्श नगर सिग्नल, अंधेरी, मुंबई में फ़िल्म केे कलाकारों ने भाग लिया।

फ़िल्म के निर्देशक तारिक खान ने सुसाइड घटनाओं की याद दिलाते हुए कहा, “यह मुंबई के लोगों के लिए एक आंख खोलने वाला है स्टोरी हैं, जो मेट्रो जीवन के दैनिक हलचल और व्यस्त लाइफ में सुसाइड घटनाओं से अनजान रहते हैं। जो किसी की भी जीवन में हो सकते हैं।” जैसे जिया खान और प्रतुषा बैनरजी के जीवन में घटी है। “फिल्म की कहानी आत्म्यहत्या से संबंधित है, जो एक संतुलित दिमाग के किरदार पर आधारित हैं और उसे आत्म्यहत्या से बचाते है। फिल्म 23 नवंबर को देश भर के सिनेमाघरों में रिलीज हो रही है।

Miss Asia 2018 – The Finest Beauty Pageant From The House Of Pegasus

For the first time in the history of Bollywood, a production house Lakhshya Production held its road show for its upcoming movie ‘The Dark Side Of Life: Mumbai City’. An innovative Promotional exercise, the event was attended by its start cast at Adarsh Nagar Signal, near Oshiwara police station on link road in Andheri West.

“It is an eye opener for Mumbaikars who are so involved with the daily hustle bustle of a metro life that they are unaware of the impending unfortunate events which could occur in our city lives,” said producer Rajesh Pardasani while reminding us of the tragic events surrounding Jia Khan and Pratushya Bannerji.

 

Director Tariq Khan puts it plainly, “Hopelessness and despair is one such state of mind which creeps deeper into our minds without us realising about such a parasite growing within us which all of a sudden brings one into a situation of being cornered in life which brings rise to suicidal tendencies in a human being. Our film delves into the subject and even if it succeeds in bringing a single soul to normalcy, would be a winning moment for us.” This is relevant in present times even with the recent example of a senior law enforcement officer committing suicide.

The soul-touching songs are rendered by Jubin Nautiyal, Amit Mishra, Mohammed Irfan, Altamash Faridi and Aftab Hashim Sabri. Principal cast of the film includes Mahesh Bhat, K.K Menon and Nikhil Ratnaparkhi who are supported by Avi, Gul Sayed, Deep Raj Rana, Neha Khan and Alisha Seema Khan among others.

“The film deals with such tragic consequences those which could have been avoided with a balanced mind of an individual which is most lacking in our city lifestyle,” mentioned Naghma Khan of Shaaz Media Entertainment and the project designer of this film.

‘The Dark Side Of Life: Mumbai City’ is releasing on 23 November across cinema halls nationwide.

    Mumbai : Queen of Mashups: ‘SOS Nitelife’, an exclusive platform for female Disc Jockeys got the winners of its third India chapter on November 17 during Imagica’s prominent entertainment offering ‘ Imagica By Night’. Top 15 Djanes from India participated in the star-studded grand finale of the Female DJ Championship held at Imagica, Mumbai.
    DJ D’Shelz and DJ Neit Kaur were declared the joint-winners of the 2018 Queen of Mashups India chapter. DJ Zoya Iman emerged as the first runner-up, DJ Adda was named the second runner-up,
    DJ Donna was the third runner-up, DJ Palak was named fourth runner-up while DJ Varsha emerged as fifth runner-up.

15 talented djanes set the stage on fire with their musical numbers but in the end, the judges chose two joint-winners. The musical evening was attended by many who were seen grooving to the songs played by these talented ladies behind the music consoles. Imagica added thrill and excitement to the evening with their unique attractions and rides, under the night sky, and an ambience of feet tapping music to enthral guests. A delectable range of F&B awaited each at the Imagica restaurants, and splendidly lit Imagica Castle in the backdrop of the musical evening spelt magnificence.

The winner of this competition will be representing India in the next year’s Global Championships – an exclusive contest for world’s top female disc jockeys.
The audience was enthralled by the tunes of popular dance numbers played by the talented ladies behind the music consoles. All the guests were in awe of Imagica and SOS Nitelife’s arrangements, grandeur and hospitality.
These talented young ladies were judged by a jury comprising DJ Akbar Sami, DJ Akhtar and TV host Naved Jafri.

After winning the Queen of Mashups 2018, DJ Neit said, “I feel immensely happy to have won this championship. कला, संस्‍कृति एवं युवा विभाग, बिहार सरकार एवं कला संस्कृति निदेशालय,गोवा के तत्‍वावधान में आगामी 22 नवंबर से 24 नवंबर तक गोवा के पौंडा में बिहार महोत्‍सव 2018का आयोजन किया गया है। इस दौरान बिहार की गौरवशाली संस्‍कृति को गोवा की धरती पर दुनिया के सामने प्रस्‍तुत किया जायेगा। बिहार की पौराणिक लोकसंस्‍कृति, संगीत,पारंपरिक नृत्‍य आदि को समायोजित करता बिहार महोत्‍सव 2018 बिहार की सांस्‍कृतिक विरासत को दर्शायेगा। इसमें पूरे राज्‍य के कलाकार शामिल होंगे।कला संस्कृति एवं या मंत्री कृष्ण कुमार ऋषि ने बताया कि गोवा में आयोजित बिहार महोत्सव का उद्घाटन गोवा की राज्यपाल महामहीम डा.मृदुला सिन्हा जी करेंगी,जबकि बिहार के उपमुख्यमंत्री सुशील कुमार मोदी एवं गोवा के कला संस्कृति मंत्री श्री गोविंद गावडे मुख्य अतिथि के रुप में उपस्थित रहेंगे।श्री ऋषि ने बताया कि गोवा में अभी टूरिस्ट सीजन है।इंटरनेशनल फिल्म फेस्टिल भी चल रहा है,इस अवसर पर बिहार महोत्सव के आयोजन से गोवा के साथ दुनिया भर के लोगों के सामने बिहार की ब्रांडिंग का अवसर हमें मिल सकेगा।

कला संस्कृति मंत्री ने बताया कि बिहार महोत्‍सव 2018 की शुरूआत 22 नवंबर को पद्मभूषण शारदा सिन्‍हा की शानदार आवाज में लोकगीत के जरिये होगा। इसके बाद बिहार के पारंपरिक लोक नृत्‍य की प्रस्‍तुति लोक कला प्रदर्शन केंद्र, पूर्णिया द्वारा किया जायेगा। वहीं, रजनीश कुमार उप शास्‍त्रीय संगीत, रीता दास सरोद वादन, बेतिया के सुमित आनंद ध्रुपद गायन, बिहार संगीत नाटक अकादमी के द्वारा बिहार गौरव गान और राजीव रंजन कथक नृत्‍य का मनोरम प्रस्‍तुति देंगे।

मंत्री ने बताया कि सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से बिहार के कला भव की झलक दिखायी जाएगी दूसरे दिन 23 नवंबर 2018 को बिहार दर्पण, सुरांगन के जरिये बिहार दर्शन कराया जायेगा। नीतू कुमारी नूतन बिहार की लोकगीत की प्रस्‍तुति देंगी। उसके बाद चर्चित नृत्‍य नाटिका आम्रपाली का मंचन नीलम चौधरी करेंगी। वहीं, राम प्रकाश मिश्र ठुमरी की प्रस्‍तुति देंगे। अमर आनंद, रानी कुमारी और नीतू नवगीत और सत्‍येंद्र कुमार लोकगीत का रंगारंग प्रस्‍तुति देंगे। तो मो. इजराईल पमरिया नृत्‍य और प्रशांत मल्लिक के ध्रुपद गायन के साथ दूसरे दिन का समापन हो जायेगा।

इसके बाद बिहार महोत्‍सव 2018 के तीसरे और अंतिम दिन की शुरूआत बिहार संगीत नाटक अकादमी द्वारा बिहार के गौरव गान से होगा। उसके बाद भिखारी ठाकुर परंपरा की मशहूर भोजपुरी लोक गायिका चंदन तिवारी भोजपुरी लोकगीत प्रस्‍तुत करेंगी। वहीं, अनु सिन्‍हा उर्वशी नृत्‍य नाटिका प्रस्‍तुत करेंगी। वंदना ज्‍योर्तिमयी नज्‍म/गजल पेश करेंगी। अमित पासवान लोकगीत के जरिये लोगों के समक्ष होंगे। पूर्णिया कला रंग मंच द्वारा रोटी नाटक का मंचन भी होगा। कुमारी अभिलाषा शास्‍त्रीय गायन करेंगी। रंजना झा मैथिली लोकगीत प्रस्‍तुत करेंगी। दरभंगा के समित मल्लिक ध्रुपद और विश्‍वनाथ शरण सिंह द्वारा नौटंकी नृत्‍य नाटिका की रंगारंग प्रस्‍तुति के साथ बिहार महोत्‍सव 2018 का समापन हो जायेगा।

श्री ऋषि ने बताया कि इस आयोजन के माध्यम से बिहार की मुकम्मल सांस्कृतिक छवि प्रस्तुत करने की कोशिश की जाएगी।बिहार के खान पान की विशिष्टता, हस्तशिल्प,मिथिला चित्रकला,पहनावे के स्टाल लगाए जा रहे हैं। इस अवसर बिहार ललित कला अकादमी के द्वारा बिहार के विभिन्न शैलियों के साथ समकालीन कला के उत्कृष्ट चित्र प्रदर्शित किए जा रहे हैं।

मंत्री ने बताया कि सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से बिहार के कला भव की झलक दिखायी जाएगी दूसरे दिन 23 नवंबर 2018 को बिहार दर्पण, सुरांगन के जरिये बिहार दर्शन कराया जायेगा। नीतू कुमारी नूतन बिहार की लोकगीत की प्रस्‍तुति देंगी। उसके बाद चर्चित नृत्‍य नाटिका आम्रपाली का मंचन नीलम चौधरी करेंगी। वहीं, राम प्रकाश मिश्र ठुमरी की प्रस्‍तुति देंगे। अमर आनंद, रानी कुमारी और नीतू नवगीत और सत्‍येंद्र कुमार लोकगीत का रंगारंग प्रस्‍तुति देंगे। तो मो. इजराईल पमरिया नृत्‍य और प्रशांत मल्लिक के ध्रुपद गायन के साथ दूसरे दिन का समापन हो जायेगा।

इसके बाद बिहार महोत्‍सव 2018 के तीसरे और अंतिम दिन की शुरूआत बिहार संगीत नाटक अकादमी द्वारा बिहार के गौरव गान से होगा। उसके बाद भिखारी ठाकुर परंपरा की मशहूर भोजपुरी लोक गायिका चंदन तिवारी भोजपुरी लोकगीत प्रस्‍तुत करेंगी। वहीं, अनु सिन्‍हा उर्वशी नृत्‍य नाटिका प्रस्‍तुत करेंगी। वंदना ज्‍योर्तिमयी नज्‍म/गजल पेश करेंगी। अमित पासवान लोकगीत के जरिये लोगों के समक्ष होंगे। पूर्णिया कला रंग मंच द्वारा रोटी नाटक का मंचन भी होगा। कुमारी अभिलाषा शास्‍त्रीय गायन करेंगी। रंजना झा मैथिली लोकगीत प्रस्‍तुत करेंगी। दरभंगा के समित मल्लिक ध्रुपद और विश्‍वनाथ शरण सिंह द्वारा नौटंकी नृत्‍य नाटिका की रंगारंग प्रस्‍तुति के साथ बिहार महोत्‍सव 2018 का समापन हो जायेगा।

श्री ऋषि ने बताया कि इस आयोजन के माध्यम से बिहार की मुकम्मल सांस्कृतिक छवि प्रस्तुत करने की कोशिश की जाएगी।बिहार के खान पान की विशिष्टता, हस्तशिल्प,मिथिला चित्रकला,पहनावे के स्टाल लगाए जा रहे हैं। इस अवसर बिहार ललित कला अकादमी के द्वारा बिहार के विभिन्न शैलियों के साथ समकालीन कला के उत्कृष्ट चित्र प्रदर्शित किए जा रहे हैं।
