Noida: The most exclusive festival, first of its kind in Asia and second in the World saw the grand opening of its 8^th edition at Noida Film City hosted by Marwah Studios.

The colorful flags of different nations were quite inviting and speaking about the international presence at the festival. In total 56 countries have been part of this festival where as delegates from all the 28 states and 9 union territories were present in the festival.

“ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry-and International Journalism Centre together with AAFT University have designed this festival to mark respect to the decision of having International Day of Journalism on 12^th February which was declared nine years back by our association,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Global Festival of Journalism.

Media creates perception, time has come when all mediums of media keep in mind the unity and integrity of the nation should not be at stake when they write or speak and show any coverage. Country is definitely bigger than profession,” said Tirath Singh Rawat Member Parliament Lok Sabha and Secretary BJP.

“I appreciate the bye line   given to this festival-Love Peace And Unity Through Art And Culture. Positive journalism can bring new ife to the relations,” said H.E. Dr. Marjan Cencen, Ambassador of Slovenia to India.

“Do your research well before you write a piece for press. Your deep research can bring correct information to the reader. People still believe blindly   what all has been printed or shown on television.  You have a great responsibility towards reader and viewer,” said H.E. Radu Octavian Dobre, one time journalist and now Ambassador of Romania to India.

“A media person must aware of his duties and responsibilities. More than that he should also be attentive towards media laws. His coverage can provoke and can depress the masses. A balanced and researched news or article for any medium is always useful,” said H.E. Mr. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye,  lawyer and High Commissioner Republic of Ghana to India.

“What a unique festival, never ever heard like this in any other country. Journalist should remember that mediums are for three major reasons Information, Education and Entertainment as per Press council of India. Muhamed Cengic, Ambassador of Bosnia & Herzegovina to India., Ashok Tandon Senior Journalist & Member Prasar Bharti, Mophethe Sekamane Counsellor High Commission of Kingdom of Lesotho, Narayanan Madhavan renowned Journalist & Writer, Komal Nahta, Film Critic & Journalist from Mumbai also expressed their views in detail.

A poster was launched to mark respect to 12^th February as International Day of Journalism. Earlier the dignitaries inaugurated an exhibition of photographs. Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented all the Luminaries with life membership of International Journalism Centre and memento of the festival as souvenir. Albeena Abbas Director Department of Journalism conducted the programme.

The 4^th YESummit was concluded in which 25 ideas selected from 5 different categories for support and mentorships out of 85 ideas presented by youth and women who have come from different parts of India. Mr. Nawab Mallik, Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of Maharashtra and Youth Abhinav Kumar, Vice President, Paytm distributed the prizes for the winners. The program was organised by  YouthAid Foundation in association with various social organisations and support organisations in Pune.

Deepika Patil Pune, Prem Kumar Osmanabad, Neelam Ambre Pune, Kaushal Kumar from Raipur, Murali Krishna Hyderabad, won best idea prizes in the categories, Hospitality and Tourism, Agri & Allied Business, Mirco-Business, Social Impact, Technology and Innovation respectively.

The Yesummit was inaugurated in the presence of  Shri Remesh Thorat, Chairperson PDCC Bank, Prof Ujjwal Choudhury, Pro-vice chancellor, Adamas Univeristy, Mini Bedi, Chairperson DST and Cijo Varghese, Manager, Innovation Society, GoM, in the presence of 200 entrepreneurs from 10 states.

Kalpana Dhotre from Indapur was awarded the best entrepreneur of the Year. She expressed her gratitude and shared how as a woman who was restricted to kitchen,  motivated to come out and even providing employment to another 10 women from her village.

Mini Bedi, Founder of DST appreciated the fact that women are breaking domestic barriers to become entrepreneurs and added that  mentoring and motivation will change the scenario and lead to more women in entrepreneurial role and increase their participation inour economy.

Mathew Mattam shared that the vision of YESummit  is to  initiate entrepreneurship program which can convert the challenge of unemployment into an avenue for suitable livelihood especially for young people and women from urban, rural and tribal areas and there by achieve the sustainable development goals.

Hansdhoj Sonawane, Deputy Director TDD shared that need for promoting entrepreneurship among tribal who live in the periphery of society and geography but have immense creative and entrepreneurial potential.

Experienced mentor and entrepreneurship trainer BR Venkatesh spoke that a forum like this an  opportunity for those willing to ASK “Always Seeking knowledge”. Through his session he convinced entrepreneurs to break mental blocks and notions that all business requires investment. He explained YESUMMIT tagline of “ CONCEIVE….BELIEVE ..ACHIEVE’.  The starting point of business is an idea contrary to the prevalent notion of investment.

Mr Vikram Ugale, Managing Director of Chain of hotels,  Curry Leaves group shared his story of building Curry Leaves group from a road side outlet in Nashik. Lata Gaikwad from Jhimil Electronics shared her story of starting LED Lights Business in Pune. The session was chaired by Mr Umesh Bansi, Founder and CEO of Eyes Group Mr Umesh highlighted the need to have conviction in one’s ideas.

Kajol Jha, Glocal Nepal inaugurated the exhibition supported by NABARD to provide a platform to Self Help Groups from different parts of Maharashtra, who showcased their products. The exhibition will also provide a business platform for them to sell their products.

Mumbai, February 7, 2020: The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) after having successful auditions in Kolkata, held female model auditions in Mumbai today. The venue saw an interesting mix of over 160 faces, who enthusiastically responded and came to be the next fresh face at Opa! Bar & Cafe.

The jury panel comprised designers Monisha Jaising and Kunal Rawal, actor Urvashi Rautela, super model Rikee Chatterjee and show director Anu Ahuja. Those selected will get an opportunity to walk for the Lotus Make-up India Fashion Week in association with EbixCash Autumn-Winter 2020 from March 11-15, in the capital. 15 aspiring faces were shortlisted and among those, few models won hampers from our Title Partner, Lotus Make-Up and Official Partner, Suthol.

Let me tell you that India Media Link Management has been doing such a successful program for the last several years, K.K.  Ravi (Dada) said that people usually say that thousands of people die of cold, but we say that they also die due to lack of woolen clothes and blankets.  Poor and helpless people sleep in the open sky on the sidewalk and road and die of cold.  These poor people sleep close to each other during cold waves, but in such circumstances how can one sleep without a blanket or quilt.  They tremble all night due to the cold air and some old people even die due to these bogus, for such people, today we celebrate such a festival every year on the midnight of 26 January Republic Day.  Without having to wake them up, put a blanket over them and give them a well packed hot breakfast, bottle of water and an attractive flag.
